A HUGE thank you to everyone who came along and supported us at the Gala - It was a fantastic day!

Mathletics
  • Please ensure you have paid for your child to continue using this valuable Maths resource
Life Education
  • We look forward to an exciting time with the Life Education Team supporting us with our Movement Concept
  • Thank you to those families who have returned their child’s permission slips and paid the $5 fee.
  • Please ensure you have done so by Monday morning.
  • Unfortunately those children who haven’t been paid for will miss these lessons and be sent to an alternative room during these classes.
Lloyd Elsmore Swimming
  • This is the last session for our Year 3 students. They have all benefitted from this free local community initiative
Tissues
  • A timely reminder the cold season is approaching. Please send in a box of tissues for your child to your child’s teacher as soon as possible
Ice block Fridays
  • If you would like your child to have an ice block on a Friday please send $1 to your child’s teacher
Head Lice
  • The recent warm wet weather has promoted more cases of head lice. Please check your child regularly and treat accordingly to prevent them being spread to others
Class blogs
  • Please check the child’s class blog for weekly letters and other information.
  • Check out the latest photographs too
  • I have added some of the websites we use in class so the children can use them at home too

Wow!  The Gala countdown is on…..1 week to go.
If you can help in ANY way on the day or setting up on Friday - please see your child’s teacher and we can add you to the rosta Thanks

Life Education
  • Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Please could the permission slip and the money be brought in as soon as possible. Thanks  
School photos
  • It’s school photo day on Tuesday this week. All children will have their individual and class photograph taken.
  • If you would like a sibling photo taken - please fill in the form available from the office
  • If you have a maroon shirt from our new school uniform, please could your child wear it on Tuesday.
3 Way Conferences
  • Great to such a fantastic turn out. Well done to all the children from Room 9 who shared their learning journey and talked about their goals.
Assembly
  • No School Assembly this week as we prepare for the Gala
Ice block Fridays
  • If you would like your child to have an ice block on a Friday please send $1 to your child’s teacher.
HPS Gala
  • Please bring a Jolly Jar as your HPS Gala contribution (a jolly jar is an empty jam jar filled with goodies ie sweets, stickers, small toys, crayons etc)
  • A huge thankyou to all those children and parents who have already donated items

Mufti and bright socks day -
Wednesday 22nd March
  • We are raising money for the Auckland Downs Syndrome Association
  • Children are asked to wear mufti and bright mismatched socks for the day and give a $2 donation
School bags
  • Please encourage your child to unpack their own bag when they come into class in the morning (water bottle and book bag) - this helps them become more independent & responsible for their belongings
  • It’s also great to see so many children carrying their own bag at home time - after all it’s their bag!!

Safe Parking
  • HPS is taking part in Auckland Transport’s Safety at the School Gate Programme.
  • This initiative is to encourage parents to park in the correct place, so children can be dropped off safely and avoid traffic congestion.

PTA Meeting
  • Wednesday 7pm School Staffroom - New Parents are most welcome to join the Parent & Teacher Association to support our school’s fundraising events.
